According to a Twitter post from Sony Santa Monica's director of technology Christer Ericson, God of War III will not come with an install option. God of War III has been developed to stream off of the system's cache.The series has boasted basically no load times in the past.

This news comes to a relief to those rocking old model PS3's with lesser hard drive space. God of War III will still take up 5MB for save files though.

God of War III is a Playstation 3 exclusive that will be available March 16, 2010 with an Ultimate Edition available for $100.

Sony and Santa Monica Studios revealed the God of War III Ultimate Edition today. Taking advice from polls of God of War fans, the new Ultimate Edition will include a collector's replica of Pandora's box, an art book, and exclusive digital content. This all comes at a cost though; the Ultimate Edition will set wallets back $100.

According to the official announcement, the Ultimate Edition will feature the following:

Exclusive Digital Content (Available via PlayStation Network voucher codes on day of launch)

God of War III will be available for the Playstation 3 in April of 2010.

Sony announced today that the God of War Collection will be shipping on November 17th. This collection bundles God of War, God of War II and a download code for the demo of God of War III for the Playstation 3. God of War III will be available Spring 2010. Preceding the release of new God of War III, Sony has announced that God of War I & II will be ported to the PS3. God of War I & II were originally available for the PS2. They will be updated to run in 720p resolution at 60 frames per second with anti-aliasing. The pack will come with numerous Playstation Network Trophies.

The collection should make its way to retailer shelves this holiday season with a price tag of $39.99. God of War III, the fifth chapter in the GoW series, is expected out in Spring 2010.
