The Witcher was released in 2008, and due to its mature content has not been available in North America until now. Players assume the role of Geralt of Rivia, who is a legendary monster slayer and mutant swordmaster to battle forces trying to control the world. The storyline was inspired by the writings of renowned Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski, and features adult themes and mature social issues like racism, political intrigue and genocide.
