Since its release on July 26th, Wii Sports Resort has sold over 500,000 copies. According to marketing vp Carrie Dunaway "This tells us consumers were eagerly waiting to get their hands on these fun activities, and it's a great start for a game that will have long-lasting appeal."
Before the launch of the game the Motionplus accessory had already sold 500,000 units (counting those packed with games such as Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10).
Those who are a fan of this new technology can be sure to expect developers to develop for it!

For those of us who haven't read up on Motionplus, what exactly are they saying it does differently?

It's supposed to allow for greater control, accuracy and precision in game play, an add-on that plugs into your Wiimote. It'll be more intuitive and have better space recognition too.
