Hmm, I really can't see Kinect ever being successful at that price, and with those games.

It's really a cool idea...but I agree, I don't know how well it will take off. It's also questionable if you can sit down and play and what kind of range it has or has to have. There were some reports of a lady wearing a long skirt demoing the system at the show and Kinect couldn't recognize her legs because it was covered. Guess no Snuggie wearing and Kinect playing at the same time!!

Well I certainly think it has potential to be fun, I just don't think it will be successful business-wise, it just doesn't cater to what most 360 owners want.

Most 360 owners are "hardcore" and want new CoD, Halo, or GeoW games, they really don't care for motion controls.

And most "casual" gamers would much rather put down $200 on a wii, rather than dropping $350 on a 360 and kinect.

I just think Microsoft is aiming to please the wrong niche of gamers.

Between Microsoft's Kinect and Sony's Move, I think we might start to redefine those hardcore games. I have no idea what the future holds for games using motion controls, but sword fighting and the like could be quite interesting and even more hardcore using them.
