Capcom has recently provided insights into updates for its upcoming release, the Capcom Fighting Collection 2, which is scheduled for launch on May 16, 2025. This includes numerous enhancements and changes to various titles in the collection that were first discussed last September.
Updates on Game Changes

Capcom Vs. SNK Millennium Fight 2000 Pro
- Visual modifications on some stages.
- EX Settings now allow players to select stage music from the original game or nostalgic tracks from other Capcom and SNK arcade titles.
Capcom Vs. SNK 2: Mark of the Millennium 2001 (Updated)
- A new Sound Style option is included in EX Settings, allowing players to choose between the original sound or a remixed version (Ver.2K25). This setting impacts online multiplayer matches as well.
- An option to play either the original arcade version or the updated “Easy Operation” version (Capcom vs. SNK 2 EO) has been added.
- Additional playable characters include Evil Ryu, Orochi Iori, Shin Akuma, and Ultimate Rugal, accessible via Game Settings > EX Settings > Hidden Characters.
- The ability to select the same character multiple times on a team is now available in EX Settings.
Capcom Fighting Evolution (Updated)
- EX Settings now feature a Stage Music option allowing for either original or nostalgic remixed tracks from classic Capcom titles.
- Some character transformations during Demitri’s Midnight Bliss have been removed.
- Shin Akuma and Pyron are added as playable characters, accessible through Game Settings > EX Settings > Hidden Characters.
Street Fighter Alpha 3 Upper
- The English version is based on the Japanese version’s data.
- Altered visuals in certain stages.
- Shin Akuma and Final M. Bison join the roster of playable characters, accessible via Game Settings > EX Settings > Hidden Characters.
Power Stone
- Character appearances during endings have been modified.
- New playable characters Kraken and Valgas can be found in Game Settings > EX Settings > Hidden Characters.
Power Stone 2 (Updated)
- Sound Style options are added, allowing players to switch between original sounds and remixed versions.
- Pride and Mel are now playable characters, accessible via Game Settings > EX Settings > Hidden Characters.
Project Justice (Updated)
- EX Settings includes a Sound Style option for music customization.
- Kyosuke’s Aerial Float can be altered under EX Settings.
- Visual changes have been made to specific story elements.
- Pre-made Edit Characters can be utilized in matches, accessible through Game Settings > EX Settings > Edit Characters.
Plasma Sword: Nightmare of Bilstein
- Certain visuals during the story have been modified.
- Changes have also been made to the appearances of some stages.
- Playable characters include Kaede and Rai-on, available via Game Settings > EX Settings > Hidden Characters.
Digital pre-orders for Capcom Fighting Collection 2 are now available, with physical editions confirmed that include a bonus comic. The collection will be released on multiple platforms including the Nintendo Switch.
