Killing Floor 3 Launch Pushed Back: What to Expect in 2025

Tripwire Interactive has announced a delay for the much-anticipated title, Killing Floor 3. Originally scheduled for release on March 25, the game will now debut at an undecided date in 2025. This decision follows feedback gathered from a recent closed beta, which highlighted several areas for improvement.

Official Statement from Tripwire Interactive

In a message shared on Killing Floor 3’s official social media channels, the developers expressed their commitment to enhancing the game. They stated:

“We’ve made the decision to postpone Killing Floor 3’s launch to an undecided date later in 2025. Our goal isn’t just to make Killing Floor 3 an ambitious step forward for the franchise, but also to maintain the core experience that you’ve come to know and love.”

With the backing of their parent company Embracer Group, the team aims to address various player concerns regarding performance, stability, user interface, and weapon mechanics. Additionally, they plan to implement a feature allowing players to independently select their perk class and character after the game’s launch.

The developers are eager to present a more polished version of Killing Floor 3 when the time is right and have assured fans that they will be the first to know about any updates.

Impact on Pre-orders

For those who have pre-ordered the game, Tripwire has created an FAQ to guide them through the next steps. Those who are dissatisfied with the delay have the option to request a refund if they choose to withdraw their pre-order.

Killing Floor 3 Overview

Killing Floor 3 continues the legacy of the co-op horror first-person shooter series, set in the year 2091—70 years after the events of Killing Floor 2. Players will face a new, even more formidable wave of bio-engineered enemies, known as Zeds, produced by the nefarious megacorporation Horzine. Players will take on the role of a Nightfall specialist, part of a rebel faction dedicated to combating the Zeds. The game promises skills progression, new weaponry, and cooperative play with up to five teammates.

Killing Floor 3 will be available on PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store, as well as on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S later in the year.
