Speedrun Feat at the Switch 2 Experience
During the event, Ikaboze achieved an incredible feat by loading a save file just before the climactic battle against Ganon. By stripping Link of all equipment, he managed to reach the end credits in just 7 minutes. Although the demo had a 10-minute limit, which made a traditional speedrun impractical, this achievement stunned the audience and likely made Ikaboze the first player to conquer the final boss on this new version of the game.
Anticipating Future Speedruns
As the Switch 2 version of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is set for release on **5th June 2025**, it will be interesting to see how the enhanced performance and resolution affect future speedrunning attempts. The new release also includes added content through the ‘Zelda Notes’ app, which promises to enrich the experience.
