Mastering Shadows: A Guide to Refilling Scouts in Assassin’s Creed

Assassin’s Creed Shadows introduces several innovative gameplay mechanics that differentiate it from previous titles in the franchise. Players will find that the game does not provide explicit guidance on where to go after accepting main and side quests. Instead, it offers general hints, requiring players to navigate independently to locate their next objective. To streamline this process, players can utilize scouts, although their use is restricted to a limited number of times each season, necessitating a wait for the season to advance for further use.

Refilling Scouts

Fortunately, players do not have to wait for the season to change if they wish to use scouts again after exhausting their quota. By spending resources, players can refill scouts at any Kakuraga safehouse they’ve unlocked. This can be done by interacting with sacks on the walls and paying a cost of 200 mon. While this feature is beneficial in emergencies, particularly for salvaging Stockpiles from enemy locations or clearing Wanted status, frequent refills can become expensive, so they should be used judiciously. Additionally, to enhance the effectiveness of scouts, upgrading the Kakurega in the Hideout to level 2 along with upgrading the Stables is required.

Recruiting Scouts

Players who frequently rely on the scout system should aim to recruit as many scouts as possible. This necessitates upgrading the Study within the Hideout, increasing the maximum number of available scouts up to 9. Gathering the necessary resources for these upgrades can be expedited by completing seasonal contracts available in each region as well as clearing enemy camps and strongholds. Like the refilling of scouts, these seasonal contracts can also be accepted at any Kakurega.
