“Reloaded Set to Debut on PC and Consoles This Summer with Seamless Cross-Play and Progression!”

Gears of War: Reloaded, the remastered version of the original game, is set to release on August 25th for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S. This marks the first time the iconic third-person shooter series will be available on PlayStation consoles.

Remaster Details

Developed by The Coalition in collaboration with Sumo Interactive and Disbelief, Gears of War: Reloaded aims to be the definitive edition, incorporating all features from Gears of War: Ultimate Edition. Players can expect the complete main campaign, additional post-launch downloadable content (DLC), all multiplayer maps and modes, as well as a variety of classic characters and cosmetics that can be unlocked through gameplay progression.

Enhanced Features

This remaster will provide significant enhancements over the original game, including:

  • 4K resolution support
  • 60 FPS gameplay for the campaign and 120 FPS in multiplayer
  • High Dynamic Range (HDR) support
  • Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) support
  • Improved post-processing visual effects, shadows, and reflections
  • Super resolution with enhanced anti-aliasing
  • No loading screens during the campaign

Cross-Platform Play

Players can enjoy full cross-platform functionality by signing in with a Microsoft account, facilitating cross-progression and multiplayer capabilities across different gaming systems. Invitations to play can also be sent across all platforms. Notably, cross-platform multiplayer will remain accessible even without a Microsoft account.

Upgrade and Availability

Those who previously purchased the Ultimate Edition will receive Gears of War: Reloaded as a free upgrade. Additionally, the game will be included in the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass libraries upon its release.
