Roaring Heritage: A Journey Through the Lion Statues of ‘Ancestral Forge’

Doom: The Dark Ages expands gameplay by introducing semi-open-world environments, allowing players to explore at their own pace. One notable mission, “Ancestral Forge,” features various collectibles, including Sorcerer and Knight statues. These statues contain items like Wraithstones and Rubies, respectively. Players will encounter barriers guarded by holographic lion statues, which must be destroyed to access the collectibles.

Collecting Jewels and Statues

To unlock the collectibles, players need to find and destroy three lion statues throughout the open-world area. Here’s a guide on where to locate them:

  1. Finding the Sorcerer Statue
  2. First Lion Statue
  3. Second Lion Statue
  4. Third Lion Statue
  5. Grabbing the Jewel

Finding the Sorcerer Statue

In the “Ancestral Forge” mission, three lion statues are present, and players will need to navigate through the area to locate them. The Sorcerer statue is found to the right of the Sentinel Shrine, past the first Ancestral Heart, and holds a Wraithstone.

First Lion Statue

The first lion statue can be found directly above the Sorcerer statue’s location. After clearing any nearby enemies, throw your shield at the statue to destroy it.

Second Lion Statue

To access the second lion statue, players need to acquire the Pink Key. Follow the mission marker to the first Ancestral Heart, eliminate the enemies, and then backtrack to the cliff area with a trail of gold leading to the Pink Key. Once obtained, return to the level’s start and use the key to unlock a path where the second lion statue awaits.

Third Lion Statue

The third lion statue is located near the second Ancestral Heart. Clear the area of enemies to disable the barrier around it, enabling you to destroy the statue with your shield.

Grabbing the Jewel

After destroying all three lion statues, the barrier protecting the Sorcerer statue will disappear, allowing you to collect the Wraithstone. This collectible can be utilized to enhance your weapons, shield, and melee capabilities.
