F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin is slated for release in North America, today February 10th. It will be available for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.

Events will take place in the game’s current universe. Inside this sinister and paranormal universe players will explore the city that was annihilated by a massive explosion in the last game. Players can also expect more encounters with their favorite tortured soul, Alma, as they continue the search for her, fighting otherworldly creatures.  Gamers will have all-new weapons and superhuman abilities to utilize in their fight to save the city from further destruction. The protagonist in this game will be Michael Becket, a Delta Force operator whose squad was sent in thirty minutes before the ending of F.E.A.R. 

F.E.A.R. 2 supports up to 16 players for multiplayer matchups which include nine maps, four play modes and a mixture of powerful weaponry, grenades, and high tech machinery. 

Project Origin was the winner of Monolith Productions “Name Your Fear” contest to find a name for the new sequel. Runner-ups included “Dead Echo” and “Dark Signal”.

F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin is rated M for Mature and is available for suggested retail price of $59.99. It is also available for download via Steam and Direct2Drive for suggested retail price, $49.99
