Growing up in the late 80’s meant practically living off of Hi-C. Mom would buy the large cans, punch a hole in one with the old can openers and we would drink out of it for at least a week. With the Ghostbusters cartoon came: Ecto Cooler starring everyone’s favorite spectral being, Slimer.

Hi-C Ecto Cooler was a tie-in with the cartoon The Real Ghostbusters which ran from 1986 to 1991. After the cartoon was cancelled, however, Slimer lived on for years on the Ecto Cooler box until 1997!

Ah, the “fruit” drink that made parents everywhere hide their antifreeze.
