K-mart displayed banners on their website announcing that the PS3 “Rumors are Reality”. There was, however, no listing for a PS3 Slim model, and none of the PS3 listings reflected any sort of price change.

Analysts and hopefuls predict Sony will make the announcement at this weeks Gamescom 2009 in Europe.

UPDATE (9:30 a.m. CST):  I just went to the Kmart website and have seen this update! PS3 Slim Pre-sell on August 24, 2009. A listed price of $299.99!!

After perusing Best Buy, Amazon, Walmart, Gamestop, I haven’t found any other listings or advertisements. The hunt continues!
