Details on the Galaxy S25 Edge Revealed by Leaker

The trend of manufacturing slimmer smartphones seems to be gaining traction as companies strive to balance aesthetics, ergonomics, and functionality. Consumers have welcomed advancements in camera technology; however, this generally leads to bulkier devices that can be less comfortable to handle. In response, both Apple and Samsung are prioritizing thinner designs to meet consumer demands.

Recent leaks have shed light on the Galaxy S25 Edge, with notable tipster Ice Universe confirming key specifications. According to Ice Universe, the upcoming smartphone will weigh 162 grams and measure just 5.84 mm in thickness, making it significantly thinner than the Galaxy S25 Plus, which has a thickness of 7.2 mm.

Additionally, Ice Universe indicated that the pricing for the Galaxy S25 Edge is likely to be comparable to the S25 Plus, estimated to start around $999. This positions it in the premium segment despite its compact profile. The phone is expected to run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, accompanied by 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.

In terms of photography, the S25 Edge will likely feature a remarkable 200MP primary camera alongside a 50MP ultrawide lens. However, to achieve its slim design, the device may include a smaller 3,900mAh battery. Samsung plans to unveil the Galaxy S25 Edge in April, with sales anticipated to begin in May. As the launch date nears, further details are expected to surface.
