Bioware’s Mass Effect will be 50% for Steam’s Weekend Deal, bringing the price down to $9.99 for the U.S. The deal will run through the weekend. Play as Commander Shepard and lead an elite squad on heroic missions throughout the galaxy. This single-player Action/RPG from 2008 received a metascore of 89/100.

This comes on the heels of Bioware’s latest release, Dragon Age: Origins. Its sequel, Mass Effect 2 will be released on January 26th, 2010.
