Rumor has it there’s going to be a new kid on the block in the form of a PS3 Slim. Supposedly, Sony will be releasing this new system in Fall of this year, and analysts are predicting they will drop the price of the current PS3 to make way for its arrival.

Sony of course, has denied both of these presumptions; stating they will drop the price of the PS3 "when the time is right".

Originally, sources were reporting a July release of a PS3 slim, but now they are saying it will make an appearance on the market around the release of the PSP Go on October 1st.

After the huge letdown of no price drop on the PS3 during tax return season, we won’t be holding our breath.
