Square Enix announced today that their games will be debuting on Steam this year, starting with The Last Remnant, available on PC on April 9th.

President and CEO John Yamamota stated "Square Enix is committed to delivering the best quality titles to PC gamers and distribution on Steam is one of the many steps we are taking to increase accessibility for fans in North America and PAL territories".

No official announcements have been made to what games lie in the future of the Square Enix and Steam, but rumors surmise that PC versions of Final Fantasy VII and VIII will be among those brought over in the future.
