Developers have promised at least one major update every year in the future for newly released MMORPG, Aion.

“There will be at least one major update a year,” according to brand manager Christian-Peter Heimbach in an interview published today.“You know this from our previous titles. We’re currently adjusting on how we’re going to make these available, but there will be free content updates for all players, and we’re looking then at how big the major updates will be.”

NCSoft has been responsible in the past for Guild Wars, City of Heroes and Lineage.

Aion had a whopping 400,000 pre-orders before its release in the US today. It has been open in the Korean and Asian markets, and will be available to Europe on Friday, November 25th.
