iPhone app developer Storm8 is accused of stealing phone numbers through their downloaded apps according to a lawsuit filed in San Francisco. Storm8 acknowledged back in August that their apps were riddled with what they called “bugs” which collected the phone numbers of the phones that its apps had been downloaded onto.

The class action lawsuit contends that Storm8 “has written the software for all its games in such a way that it automatically accesses, collects, and transmits the wireless telephone number of each iPhone user who downloads any Storm8 game”.

Storm8 is responsible for iPhone app games such as Vampires Live, Zombies Live, iMobsters, Racing Live, Kingdoms Live, Rockstars Live, and World War.
