If you’re streaming Netflix from your freshly obtained PS3 instant streaming disc, you better hold on to it. Netflix’s Steve Swasey stated in an interview that the only way to get Netflix on your PS3 is the disc, and it’s going to be that way for a year.

“Late next year we expect to have an embedded solution available for PS3s via a system software update slated for release through the PlayStation Network,” he said. “Until then, enjoy watching instantly via your PS3 using the instant streaming disc!”

The Netflix Instant Streaming disc for PS3 became available the beginning of November and allows PS3 owners to insert the disc and access Netflix Instant Watch content.
